Hi everyone,

Well, Retail off campus has proven to be bigger than I expected. Between being a mother, full time student and all the other wonderful things life has to offer, I must admit, it is very challenging.

I am enjoying this module because of its flexibility and having had previous retail experience, my knowledge makes it easier to complete the tasks and assessments. The workbooks makes the assessments easier to do too.

I would like to see less on campus requests, as it gets expensive having to pay for babysitters and the fuel costs driving to Tafe and back for an hour or two adds up with the current fuel prices.

Happy studying everyone! I look forward to reading other experiences.

Hi everyone,
The positive things about off campus is we get a flexible time to attend the class. But as a working mother with two kids as well as being a full time student, I feel it is very hard to cope with all the assignments and the assessments. Especially English is my second language, it is not easy for me to understand the whole concepts quickly.
I would like to get more information about this module regarding the notebook which I think for the student off-campus, we need more explanation to complete the assessment.

Hi everyone,

It is great to be able to do this subject off campus as it gives more flexibility and less travelling time. It was fun visiting beauty salons to collect information and to observe their customer service skills.

There are lots of role plays which are necessary for certain modules but a few less would be better as this seems to be the reason for all the on campus visits.

Bye for now,
LK

Hi all.
I have also found off campus to be very challenging. I have worked in retail for 6 years and i am finding some things a little difficult, and time consuming, i just wonder how people with no experience are going. The idea of the of campus is fantastic, but it is in its early stages and all the creases have not been ironed out. i, and many people i have spoken to, hope that it gets just a little easier (remember we dont get the explinations of everything like on campus do). Cheers.

Thanks so much for your comments. It is very much in the early stages. Thanks for your patience for "when we are trying to iron out the creases". I have taken into consideration your feedback and we will do our best to minimise the number of times you need to come in. Please remember though that Suzanne did state at the beginning that this is a flexible delivery not totally off campus. Some exciting news soon...
